Emily Breen Bushard

I have been a varsity letter winner since my freshman year when I had the privilege to play with Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop consolidated High School in Minnesota. GFW is a small 1A school system, but because of this small size it gave me a great opportunity for gaining experience. GFW has a great coaching staff, and outstanding fan base which also really helped build my personal confidence in the game.

I relocated and began playing with Piedra Vista High School in the 2009 season. This has turned out to be a great move for me, and the experience I am getting is second to none. My coaches are topnotch, and I could not ask for a better HS team to play with. We were a young team in 2009 and everyone considered it to be a building year for us. We worked hard and were able to advance to the NM State tournament which was a great accomplishment.

This past Spring I played for coach Kelley Rifilato and the Sun Country Region USAV Four Corners Volleyball Club traveling team from Durango Colorado. We had a great time and a winning season overall.

I am very excited for the 2010 season at PV. We only graduated three players last year and the improvements made by the underclassmen are amazing. The strength of our bench is going to ensure us to be a top contender.
